Adam's Parachute

Adams Parachute

This is my all time favorite fly. There is hardly a time when this fly does not produce. It is the first fly I use when fishing season opens and I always have a fish on within minutes. Although it does not represent any particular insect, it has general characteristics of many insects.

Hook:

Mustad 94840 or equivalent Size 10-22

Thread:

Black/Danville's Spiderweb or 17/0 Uni for Parachute.

Tail:

Mixed Brown and Grizzly Hackle Barbs.

Body:

Grey Muskrat Fur or similar

Rib:

None

Wingpost:

White Yarn

Hackle:

Brown And Grizzly Mixed.

Head:

Black

Instructions:

For parachute flies I stick to Hans van Klinken's way of tying the parachute. I use spiderweb thread to tie off the parachute hackle. For Hans' complete instructions on this go to my links page and take a look at the Klinkhammer Special page.
