Edson Tiger, Dark

Edson Tiger, Dark

This is the sister fly to the Edson Tiger, Light and both were designed by William R.(Bill) Edson for fishing in New England waters. The Light and Dark designations come from the color of the wing as opposed to the body. These work on Trout, Bass, and Salmon.

Hook:

 Any streamer hook 4x - 6x long, Size 6-14

Thread:

 Yellow

Tag:

 Flat Gold Tinsel

Tail:

 Yellow Hackle Barbs

Body:

 Yellow Chenille

Wing:

 Brownish Part of a Yellow Dyed Bucktail

Throat:

 Two Smallsections of Red Dyed Duck Quill or Red Hackle Tips

Cheeks:

 Jungle Cock Tied Short(optional)

Head:

 Yellow Laquered

 

Instructions:

Keep the wing low against the body.
