Hello and welcome to my site. If you like fly fishing, fly tying, model building or if you have an interest in current and past military information, you will likely find something of interest here.

Since May, 2000, I have worked in a support role within the military. I have a very special bond with the people serving in the military, and especially the Navy, that started at a young age. My Great Uncle was aboard the HMCS Athabaskan when it was sunk in 1944. Because of this I have some pages devoted to the military. Check out my Support The Troops and HMCS Athabaskan pages.

I enjoy building all types of plastic models. I have been doing it since my childhood. I cover everything from cars to figures. I intend on adding a section to the site on building models. I can build a pretty decent model, but never good enough to enter competitions. For the moment that part of the site is under construction.

I have been fishing for as far back as I can remember. My mother's family was from a little Nova Scotia fishing village. I guess it is in the blood. Strangely enough, neither of my parents, or my brother, likes fishing.

I started fly tying some where around 1989/90. I was laid off from a job and had a fair bit of time on my hands. I decided to take up tying flies for a hobby. Eventually it became far more than a hobby. Now it is more of a passion. I have some fly tying content in the hopes of sharing the hobby with others.

Fly fishing is a passion of mine. It was born out of my hobby of Fly Tying. I decided at some point that I wanted to fish the flies I tied. Seemed, to me, to be a natural progression. I have not mastered casting yet, but somehow I manage to get the fly presented, to the fish, in a way they like.
